Based on the results of the II International Sustainability Forum, Recommendations for the transition to the green policy in the new geopolitical reality were developed

On October 6, 2022, the second International Sustainability Forum took place in Kyiv. As part of the forum, solutions for the transition to a green economy in the face of global challenges were presented.

The moderator of the panel, Alina Sokolenko, head of ASDE, summed up the results of the Forum and noted that during the event, sustainable development experts formed recommendations for the transition to a green economy, which will soon be presented on the Association's website.

The expert also emphasized:
"We must clearly understand what the world thinks about us. Everyone has to work where they are, in order to go step by step to victory. We need to unite and restore Ukraine according to the principles of sustainability."
Serhiy Porovskyy, Principal expert on energy efficiency, financing and policy at UNIDO emphasized the importance of energy efficiency in the industrial sector and supporting the economy of Ukraine:
"Thanks to the implementation of energy efficiency measures, especially with the implementation of the Energy Management System, the business will receive significant financial results on an ongoing basis: reducing the level of operating costs, reducing risks related to energy security, and increasing competitiveness. However, the existing support programs do not meet the level of critical needs that the real sector of the Ukrainian economy is currently facing. Now we need to work on a significant increase in financial and technical assistance to the industrial sector of Ukraine and cover the risks of attracting foreign investment!"
Andrii Hunko , PhD, coordinator of the project "Best Available Technologies (BAT) for Ukraine", Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH shared his experience:
"Now there are about 6 million euros that we use to help businesses. These projects will become pilot projects in Ukraine. One of the goals is to show international partners that it is possible to carry out ecological modernization in Ukraine under the conditions of co-financing, attracting credit and grant funds. This will make it possible to attract further financing in the field of green economy."

Among the speakers of the panel were also: Ruslan Bykovets, head of the air transport organization department of SE "Antonov”. Kysil Oksana, regional expert of the EU program "Agreement of Mayors on Climate and Energy" and Ihor Olekhov and Kateryna Chechulina, CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang.
