In 2019, she was elected a People's Deputy of Ukraine. Taking into account her scientific and professional experience, she was offered the position of Deputy Chairman of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Environmental Policy and Nature Management.
From the first days of her work in the parliament, Mrs. Kryvoruchkina began to implement the reform of the state's environmental policy. One of the directions of the reform was a significant update of the legislative framework, thanks to which the issue of environmental protection underwent fundamental changes.
With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine, on the initiative of Mrs. Kryvoruchkina, the Operational Headquarters of the State Ecological Inspection of Ukraine was created to record eco-damages caused as a result of hostilities. Kryvoruchkina herself became the chief coordinator of the Headquarters.
The expert group of the Operational Headquarters is developing new methods of calculated damage to the environment, which Ukraine will rely on to calculate the damage caused. The new methods will meet all international standards and will allow in the future to use the collected evidence base of eco-crimes in international courts to bring the aggressor country to justice and receive reparations for the damage caused to the natural environment.
Olena Kryvoruchkina graduated from the Kryvyi Rih State Pedagogical University majoring in "Biology" with an additional major in "Chemistry" and the Kryvyi Rih Institute of Economics named after Vadym Hetman KNEU with a major in "Enterprise Economics". In 1996, Olena Kryvoruchkina started working as an assistant at the Kryvyi Rih Economic Institute and worked her way up to associate professor at Vadym Getman KEI KNEU. From the beginning of her career, she studied the environmental problems of Kryvyi Rih, based on the results of these studies, she defended her PhD thesis in 2004. She substantiated the practical mechanisms of improving the region with a critical state of the environment. Author of more than 70 scientific works, including scientific articles, monographs, textbooks.

Serhii Mykolayovych contributed to the development of reforms in the energy sector of Ukraine as an Advisor to the Minister of Energy, and also has an excellent reputation as a financial expert and advisor to IFIs and UN agencies on the implementation of financial instruments, management and control.
Serhiy Mykolayovych has a specialized multidisciplinary education, which includes a Master of Science degree from the University of Arizona (Edmund Muskie Scholarship, Natural Resources Policy and Management) and a Specialist diploma with honors in hydrotechnical and hydropower construction from the National University of Water Management and Environmental Management.
